The sacred Salcedo Lagoon in Colombia faces threats today due to the environmental degradation of the wetland, lack of local governance and climate change. Our team won a competition summoned by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and CAR. The wetland's environmental restoration plan consists of implementing a community-based environmental education program, participatory ecological restoration, and sustainable development of the local economy.
